The Summersville Salvation Army invites you to shop their Thrift Store located at 731 Broad Street. Hours are M-F 9 to 5, Saturdays from 9 to 3.


Applications for the Home Winterization Program, a service administered through Nicholas County Community Action are now available at the Richwood Food and Clothing Pantry.


A community flea market is being held every Wednesday at the Cherry River Foodland parking lot in Richwood. Hours are 8am-3pm. Set up is free.


Need help with drinking problems? AA meetings are held at St. Martin’s Church on McKees Creek Road on Tuesdays at 8pm and Summersville Presbyterian Church on Water Street in Summersville at 8pm.
 

A baby pantry and personal hygiene pantry are now located in the Nicholas County Starting Points Day Care Center in Craigsville. Supplies are available for those in need. The pantry is open on Mondays from 10a to 2p. For more information contact Tina at 742-3077.
 

Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS) will meet at the Cottle First Church of God every Thursday at 4pm. For more information call 742-5417.
 

The TOPS Chapter in Summersville meets at the Summersville City Building on Broad Street every Monday. Weigh ins at 5, meeting at 6. For more info contact Lula at 872-4372.


Step aerobics classes are being offered at the Community Health and Education Complex on Highway 41 north. Two classes are held every Monday and Thursday night. For more information contact Elaine at 742-3620.


The Richwood Food and Clothing pantry will be open on Mondays and Tuesdays but closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays until further notice.


The Nicholas County Airport Authority will conduct its regular business meeting on the first Monday of each month at 7pm in the office of the Nicholas County Commission at the Courthouse.


It’s not too late to get a flu vaccine. The Nicholas County Health Department has plenty on hand. Fee based on income and shots are free for children under 18. Fore more info call 872-5329.
